Keep shrubs back from the outdoor unit. A clear coil moves heat better than a decorative hedge pressed against the fins. Inside, a clean filter is still the cheapest habit you have.

When should AC maintenance happen?

In spring, before you need cooling every afternoon. Waiting until the first humid week puts you in line with everyone else.

What do you clean on a tune-up?

We look at coils, condensate drains, electrical connections, filters, and outdoor debris. You get a plain report of what we found.

Can I skip a year if the AC still cools?

You can. Many homes do. The risk is a drain that clogs or a capacitor that fails on the hottest weekend. Maintenance is prevention, not a requirement.
