How long does AC installation usually take?

A standard residential air conditioning installation or system replacement typically requires between four and eight hours to complete within a single workday. Projects requiring ductwork retrofitting, new refrigerant lines, or upgraded electrical service may take up to a day and a half. We handle all installations during planned daytime hours, protect your floors, and thoroughly test cooling performance before finishing.

Should the furnace and air conditioner be replaced together?

Replacing both systems together is often the most cost-effective approach if your furnace is also over twelve to fifteen years old. Matched heating and cooling systems ensure optimal energy efficiency, balanced airflow, and synchronized blower speeds. However, if your existing furnace is relatively new and fully compatible, we can safely install only the air conditioning equipment.

Will a bigger AC cool the house faster?

An oversized air conditioner will cool the air quickly but shuts off before removing indoor humidity, creating a cold, clammy living environment and causing frequent short-cycling that wears out components prematurely. We calculate the exact cooling load required for your home's square footage, window exposure, and duct design so your new system maintains steady, comfortable humidity and temperature.
